Abstract

This article provides an introduction to operating systems, discussing the different types of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and Android. It explains how the operating system works when the computer or smartphone is turned on and how it is loaded into random access memory (RAM). It also discusses the different types of user interfaces, such as Text user interface (TUI) and Graphical user interface (GUI), and the main components of a graphical interface, including the start menu, taskbar, desktop, icons, and tabs.
